Jennie works with couples, planners — and frequently — the parents or friends who intend to surprise the couple with a live artist on their wedding day.
She unequivocally merges artistry with professionalism, providing solace in the world of wedding planning. However, the live experience is when you and wedding guests will be inclined to further interact with Jennie and watch as the painting develops, with the final work of art completed by the end of the evening.

01. Live Painting
Delicately capture the story and atmosphere of the wedding, be it a painting of the ceremony, reception or first dance — weaving in details from the floral colors to the ceremony backdrop and supporting elements that bring it all together.
Inclusive of travel with 5-6 hours of on-site painting, the final canvas will be hand-delivered by the end of the night, finished with gloss varnish and a protective sleeve. The painting will depict the bride and groom together in an ethereal setting of your choice on a 24x36 or a 30x40 canvas. Limited to a small number of weddings per year.

02. Live Guest Portrait Painting
For weddings, fundraisers, anniversary parties, branded events, and even vow renewals — make a statement at your soiree with the engaging presence of a live event painter, or guest portrait painter. Jennie now offers a team of up to 3 artists for your event. This consists of 3-5 hour sessions of event guest portrait painting on 5x7 watercolor cards. Live guest portrait painters are the trend of 2024 and for a good reason!
As others have shared, it is a way to ensure that your guests are amazed and entertained. It has even been said that this artistic addition becomes the “talk” of the event.

From a painting of your favorite wedding photo created in Jennie’s Colorado studio, to pet portraits, abstract art, and landscapes, the subject and canvas size is yours to choose.
Given that a majority of Jennie’s attention is directed to live event painting, there is limited availability. That being said, Jennie appreciates the stories and artistry within these pieces, often connecting with couples who, even 30 years after their wedding, seek to have it re-told with brush strokes.

Jennie’s artistic style counters today's urgent and hasty culture; her style finds its inspiration and origin with the old Masters of Impressionism. While applied with a quick pace, each stroke is intentionally placed on the canvas and Jennie finds herself in a thoughtful creative flow — making time stand still as she paints the expression of what she sees and experiences firsthand.
As opposed to a lifelike rendering, Jennie creates room for interpretation between every brush stroke. It’s evocative, not exacting with passion felt in the colors, textures, and reflections.
Just as a song can recall vivid memories, so too can the painting draw the observer back into meaningful emotions and moments.

Book your event painting with a deposit and contract signature. Jennie will stay in touch with you or your planner to coordinate other details from there.
The full experience takes place at your event — from the blank canvas to the first brush stroke and the final piece, handed over by the end of the evening.

What size will the canvas be?
Currently, you can choose from a 24x36 or 30x40 inch unframed canvas.
Is travel included in the price?
Yes, to simplify the process, a flat travel rate is included in the full quote, of course tailored to the location. This includes all expenses from the flight to the hotel. If local, the mileage from Jennie’s Denver, Colorado studio is taken into account.
Can you paint my wedding from a photo?
Yes, this is what the commission work is for — available for post-wedding paintings created in the studio, as well as other custom work like landscapes and pet portraits.
Is there anything you need from the client or planner for your creative process?
Day of, Jennie simply needs a designated space to set up her portable wooden easel. Prior to the wedding, you will receive a brief questionnaire to confirm logistics, and obtain any preferences for the painting. Again bringing in that ease and elegance.
